The past fifteen years have seen dramatic growth in imprisonment in the UK, yet our understanding of the lives and experiences of prisoners remains limited. Drawing on in-depth interviews with prisoners, this book aims to redress this by providing insight into various aspects of the lives of prisoners and their experiences of incarceration.
